Gorillaz Date: Tuesday, October 19, 2010 Toyota Center is excited to welcome Gorillaz to Houston on Tuesday, October 19! Created by Blur’s Damon Albarn and Tank Girl cartoonist, Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz is considered the first “virtual hip-hop” group, blending music with visuals. The band is composed of four animated members while the music comes from a collaboration of renowned musicians. Gorillaz hits the road this fall with their first world tour, “Escape to Plastic Beach.” This tour supports their third studio album, Plastic Beach, which features Snoop Dogg, Gruff Rhys, Bobby Womack, Mos Def, Lou Reed, Mick Jones and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
